Dance Class List and Descriptions

Dance with Energy focuses on quality, fun, dance education for children & adults taught by passionate instructors who truly enjoy sharing their knowledge with their students. All of our teachers have a degree in Dance and/or have danced professionally. Whether this is your child’s first dance class, or they have been dancing for years, we have something for everyone! Classes include: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Acro, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, Modern, Musical Theater, Creative Movement, Irish Step, Boys Classes, Yoga, and Ballroom. Classes offered for ages 2.5-Adult. Our Studio is also home to an award winning Competitive Dance Company. We are proud to provide quality dance education to boys and girls of all ages and levels on the South Shore!

We work hard to create a positive, fun, comfortable environment for our dancers to explore their creativity and movement. Students of Dance with Energy gain strength, flexibility, body awareness, confidence, listening skills and dance class etiquette. We realize that each child learns differently, all classes are taught in a combination of teaching styles in order to reach all learning types. All Dance with Energy classes consist of a proper warm-up, across the floor progressions, center technique, strengthening exercises and a cumulative dance routine. In every class all dancers will have the opportunity to practice individually with the teacher as well as with the group.

The Dance with Energy Season runs from September through June. Each year we hold a spring recital performance at the end of the season! Parents get to sit back and “enjoy the show” while the dancers perform and show off what they have learned throughout the year. At our recital we continue the learning process & teach our dancers about backstage theatre etiquette, stage blocking, basic theatre terminology and the joy of live performance. While participation in our recital is optional, it is highly recommended to truly get the most out of our program.
