Membership Information

·     Your membership dues will not re-activate at this time UNLESS you contact us directly because you would like to utilize the outdoor pools. See more details in the aquatics section below.

·     Membership reactivation is not needed to engage in Personal Training, Tennis, Swim Lessons, Swim Team, or Camp. It is only required if you would like to access the outdoor swim area and outdoor fitness area. Details are below.

·     If you choose to reactivate to use the outdoor pools, your dues will be prorated based on the day you would like to start using the outdoor aquatics center.

·     The half month we will credit you from the time we were closed in March will be applied once the general club reopens.

Aquatics

Recreational Swim

·     Recreational swim will be available! (Membership re-activation required)

·     Hours:

·     Splash Pool and Splash Pad:

·     All Days: 10a-7:30p

·     Recreational Pool:

·     Monday-Thursday: 12p-4p: Recreational/family swim

·     Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 12p-7:30p: Recreational/family swim

·     All Days: 7a-8a: Lap Swimming (Water fitness classes to be added the week of June 29! More details to come!)

·     Reservations will be required via the app. To start, reservations will be available in 1.5 hour increments. (As we settle in, we promise to continuously re-evaluate this to determine if we can expand the reservation time but still accommodate everyone.) For those that reactivate their membership to enjoy the pools, instructions will be given for how to book a reservation.

·     Email Membership@weymouthclub.com to reactivate your membership to use the pools or for any questions.

Non-Contact Swim Lessons

·     Beginner and novice level swim lesson protocol was designed to meet the Health Department expectations of no-contact. We will follow a similar routine as our Ripples parent/child classes. All March swim lesson participants will be invited prior to registering any new swimmers. You will receive details from the Aquatics Team during the upcoming week.

Therapy Pool

·     Currently, the Therapy Pool is ONLY permitted for use by Baystate Physical Therapy

Swim Team

·     Our swim teams will be able to practice indoors per the Governor’s instructions for youth sports. All Waves Swim Team, Waves 101, and JV swimmers will receive details during the upcoming week!

Outdoor and Indoor Group Exercise classes coming Monday, June 22nd

Dear Weymouth Club Community,

Closing Weymouth Club was not an easy choice but it was the right thing to do. We now enter uncharted waters with no timeline to the world recovery, but as Americans we will win the battle. It’s times like these that we are reminded of how strong our community is. We couldn’t be more grateful for each and every one of you that makes up our Weymouth Club family. The outpouring of support, concern for our staff, and praise of the decision we made has been truly tremendous.

This week, a small team of our employees worked behind the scenes to ensure the club will be spotless for your return, produced at-home workouts and nutrition tips, participated in leadership training, and worked on ways to make the club even better when we re-open. Everything we do is for you: to provide you with the best location on the South Shore to meet your health goals, whether they be physical, social, or educational.

For Weymouth Club that has been Sally and my life’s work, we are thinking and planning for what is important. First and foremost, how we can keep our members active, healthy, and engaged during this period when access to the club is unavailable. Secondly, how we can financially help take care of our exceptional staff who make the club that special place for all of you as well as meet our financial obligations to our deserving vendors. And lastly, what will it take to reopen Weymouth Club and use this opportunity to bring the club to new levels.

As we have done over the past week, we will continue to stay in touch with other top clubs in our industry, trade associates, and local health authorities to make the best decisions for our club community. We hope to be in touch soon regarding our schedule of reopening. Please see below to review a series of Q&A we thought would be helpful to you.

In closing, Sally and I and the entire Weymouth Club staff wish you and your families, friends, and surrounding communities a speedy recovery in each and every way. We thank you for your past and future support.

March 20th, 2020

  • What’s happening with my membership dues?
    • We will credit your dues for the time we were closed once we reopen. If the club does not open on April 1, your dues will NOT be processed on April 1.
  • Did the club close because of a report of someone being infected?
    • Closing the club was entirely a proactive measure. We wanted to be a leader in the community and encourage other businesses to make choices to keep everyone safe. This was in no way a mandated closure and we are not aware of any of our members or staff having the virus.
  • How is the staff doing? What are we doing with our staff?
    • The amount of outreach with concern for our team members has been tremendous. This is a difficult time for all aspects of our community. For all of our team members, we have been researching state and federal legislation being proposed amid the pandemic and sharing impacts. We have also provided information on how to file for unemployment benefits. This week, a team worked behind the scenes to ensure the club will be spotless for your return, produced at-home workouts and nutrition tips, participated in leadership training, and worked on ideas to make the club even better when we re-open. Next week a smaller crew will remain.
  • What if a program is re-scheduled for a time frame that doesn’t work for me?
    • Should this happen, you will receive a credit toward a future service. We are committed to re-scheduling in the best way possible so you can continue with your programs at the club without interruption.
  • What cleaning is being done? Other projects?
    • As I’m sure you would expect, we are ferociously cleaning every inch of the club. The whole fitness center is being deep cleaned from top to bottom including pulling out cardio equipment/machines and cleaning underneath. We are completing a deep clean of our locker rooms, Energy Center, tennis courts, aquatic center, and lobby areas, even cleaning walls.
  • When will you re-open?
    • This is the “million dollar question.” We are monitoring this very fluid situation and will adhere to all recommendations by public health officials as well as the town, state, and federal authorities. While we are still striving to re-open April 1, like everyone, we simply do not know what the future holds and how long before the occurrences of the virus will begin to flatten and decline. Our goal remains to safeguard the health of our members and staff.
  • How can I stay involved? Are you producing any at-home workouts?
    • Yes! Please tune into our Facebook and Instagram pages for workouts from Weymouth Club trainers, nutrition tips, kid’s activities, and general engagement with the Weymouth Club community. Our goal is to send you a schedule of live classes early next week.
  • Where can I find updates?
