Steve Goldman, Owner
Working alongside his wife, Sally, Steve Goldman has grown Weymouth Club into one of the finest multi-purpose health, wellness and recreation facilities in New England.
Since 1988 Weymouth Club has been on the forefront of growing tennis, aquatics and fitness programming on the Massachusetts South Shore. The Club has won many local, regional and national awards, including Best Health Club from the Patriot Ledger’s Readers Choice Awards.
Steve is a past recipient of the USTA Tennis Pro of the Year and has coached numerous young players, including some who have won athletic scholarships to college and played professionally.
Sally Goldman and her husband, Steve, have owned and operated Weymouth Club since 1988. During this time, Sally has taught tennis as a USPTA Certified Tennis Professional, founded and directed Weymouth Club’s Tennis, Fitness and Arts (TFA) Camp for children, and coached middle-school basketball and high-school tennis.
Sally has had a passion for exercise and tennis since childhood. She was a ranked USTA junior player in high school and ultimately attained the #1 ranking in USTA New England’s Girl’s 18 and Under. Shortly thereafter she attained New England’s #1 spot as a Women’s Open player.
A graduate of Bentley College, Sally played #1 on the men’s tennis team, was voted most improved player, and is a past winner of the prestigious William Hoblizelle Sportsmanship Award. The Goldman family was named “Tennis Family of the Year” by the USTA.
“[Steve and Sally] helped us to create a more focused sales system, and [Steve] delivered a business model to add physical therapy that made us stand out from our competition.”
– Jerry Whitlock, Chatham Health and Swim Club
“Weymouth Club’s professional staff helped us to open the fitness center and pool for our 321-unit elderly housing unit. They helped with every aspect, including permitting, construction supervision, Board of Health inspections, equipment layout and selection, job descriptions, and they even presented us with candidates for the manager’s position. They are very good at what they do.”
– Timothy Martin, Executive Director, Milton Residences for the Elderly
“They provided the expertise we needed to reinvent our sales processes. They helped secure a quality Director of Tennis for our seasonal outdoor tennis facility and provided guidance that helped us re-do our fitness equipment and floor plan. I can always pick up the phone and get immediate, insightful feedback.”
– Mike Shyjan, Owner, Westford Racquet and Fitness Club
