AirPHX
AirPHX technology provides 24-hour coverage against bacteria and viruses. It provides nonstop sanitation of ambient air plus all exposed surfaces including fitness equipment, weights, turf, rubber, wood, and tile surfaces. Typical air pathogen reductions are >90% and typical surface pathogen reductions are >95%. With AirPHX, we can proudly say our club is one of the cleanest in the greater Boston area. Viking Pure
Viking pure is our new standard cleaning product at the Club. It is hypochlorous Acid (HOCI) which is “superoxidized water.” This game-changing antimicrobial agent is completely harmless to humans and animals yet has killed every pathogen it has ever been scientifically tested against including viruses, bacteria, fungi, mold, and more. Despite the destructive potential, HOCI is actually produced by our body and used by our immune system. It is 100% toxin free and is 100% green and sustainable. How does it work? The final product does not contain salt, but the process begins with salt. Electrolyzed water is formed by electrically separating salt into its two main ions: sodium and chloride. Sodium and chloride are then mixed, separately, with water. We use Viking Pure as a spray and a mist. You’ll notice our housekeeping team with backpacks spraying the solution on fitness equipment doors, floors, in the restrooms, and virtually every area of the club.

ULPA Filters
You may have heard of HEPA filters as the industry-standard for hospital-level air filtration. In our research of products we thought would be best to add to the club, we learned of a particular filter, a ULPA filter, that is more efficient and traps more particles present in the air. Filters aid in reducing virus spread by capturing dust, allergens, bacteria, mold, and other microscopic sized particles from the air. HEPA filters should remove 99.97% of particles from the air where ULPA filters should remove 99.999%. While the difference may seem minuscule, we opted for the top-of-the-line ULPA filters in the club.

UV Pool Sanitation
Used in all of our indoor pool facilities, ultraviolet water treatment has been proven safer, healthier, and easier to manage than other methods to increase pool sanitation. In addition to our chlorine management of the pool, the non-chemical process of UV sanitation uses germicidal UV light rays to sanitize the water. The highly concentrated electromagnetic energy also destroys organic matter, eliminating the formation of dangerous chlorine by-products in and on top of the water surface. During the summer, the sun provides this process naturally for the outdoor pools.
