Tai Chi is a moving meditation fascinating wakeful relaxation. Combined with controlled breathing, this graceful exercise involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner. As a low impact exercise, it puts minimal stress on muscles and joints. Slow movements require endurance, not force, which develops different muscle fibers. As back muscles learn to relax, elongation of the spine will increase posture.
