The Water Safety Instructor course trains candidates to teach water safety, including the basic water rescue course, six levels of Learn to Swim, and Parent/Child Aquatics.

In order to participate, candidates must:
- Be 16 years of age on or before the completion of the class
- Successfully demonstrate swimming the following strokes: front crawl (25 yards), backstroke (25 yards), breaststroke (25 yards), sidestroke (25 yards), butterfly (demonstrate).
Materials Needed
Course participants must obtain and bring to class their own copy of the American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor’s Manual, which is available in e-book format. Participants can print it out or view it on a laptop or tablet using Weymouth Club Wi-Fi.
