Patrick received his initial massage training at the Spa Tech Institute in Plymouth, MA and quickly realized he wanted to specialize in modalities that address the root cause of muscular pain and dysfunction. He began his neuromuscular therapy and trigger point training in 2020, since then he has receive certifications in Precision Neuromuscular Therapy and Cupping. Available by appointment only.

Neuromuscular massage therapy is a specialized form of manual massage that uses digital pressure and friction to release areas of strain in muscles, known as trigger points. Trigger points are small areas within a muscle where tissue contraction occurs, leading to a lack of blood flow and nutrients, which prevents the muscle from relaxing. These hypersensitive areas can cause pain, fatigue, and weakness, and can also lead to referral pain, where pain, tingling, or numbness is felt in areas far from the trigger point.

Neuromuscular therapy aims to re-educate contracted muscle tissue, deactivate trigger points, correct myofascial holding patterns, and reduce pain. These issues often develop over time or result from trauma and injury.

The techniques used in neuromuscular massage are medical in nature and highly specialized. They focus on correcting pain and movement dysfunction by treating trigger points, muscle adhesions, and connective tissue patterns, which are typically caused by trauma, repetitive movements, or poor posture. Neuromuscular massage is considered an ongoing treatment rather than a one-time solution for occasional aches.
