In Memoriam
Madeleine Griffin: Personal Trainer
On August 29th, 2024. the Weymouth Club community lost a dear teammate, Madeleine Griffin.
Madeleine joined the Weymouth Club family in 2018, but her journey with us began even earlier when she first became a member, finding joy and inspiration in our group exercise classes. This passion led her to become not only an instructor but also a certified personal trainer, where she shared her love of fitness and wellness with countless others.
When we think of Madeleine, the word “strength” immediately comes to mind. She was a proud USAF veteran, a resilient kidney transplant survivor, and, most importantly, a devoted mother to her son, Parker.
Madeleine was a beacon of light, positivity, and strength for our community. Her unwavering dedication to health, wellness, and mindfulness inspired everyone around her. Even with recent health challenges, Madeleine never gave up. She continued to lead by example, demonstrating the power of resilience and hope.
She found great joy in leading meditation workshops and, over the past few years, developed a passion for archery during her time at Kripalu. She generously shared this newfound love by inviting clients and friends to her home to learn the skill. Madeleine often extended these invitations to members of Weymouth Club, connecting with everyone inside and outside of our community. Her ability to build strong, meaningful relationships was one of her many remarkable qualities.
A fierce advocate for women’s empowerment, especially for postpartum mothers, Madeleine sought out specialized certifications to support women during and after childbirth. Her dedication and expertise in the fitness industry were widely recognized, and she is currently a finalist for the Best Personal Trainer award in the South Shore Community Choice Awards. The results will be revealed on October 5th, and this recognition would be a fitting tribute to her incredible impact on our community.
Madeleine was a true warrior on any challenge she faced. Her commitment to Weymouth Club and her clients was unparalleled. The countless testimonials from those she worked with over the years stand as a testament to the impact she made and the many lives she touched and she will be deeply missed.
Below was her bio which listed all of her amazing accomplishments.
