Weymouth Club offers numerous water fitness classes for all kinds of participants – and best of all they’re free with your Weymouth Club membership! All classes are taught by certified instructors.

Water Fitness Class Descriptions
The classes below are ordered from most gentle to most challenging.
Arthritis
Low intensity in shallow water. Ease sore joints, strengthen muscles, increase balance and flexibility, and improve functional capacity by working through a gentle, fluid range of motion.
Pre-registration required.
Yoga Flow
Low/medium intensity class in shallow water. Move your yoga class from the mat to the pool using movement in water.
Gentle Cardio Arthritis
Range of motion, flexibility and strengthening exercises are performed in the non-impact deep water with an added cardio component. More challenging than the shallow water class, but at a moderate intensity. Buoyancy belts are used.
Hydro Pilates
Low intensity class held in shallow water, using principles of Pilates to increase balance and flexibility, strengthen the core and increase tone.
Aqua Strength
Medium intensity in in shallow water. Tone and strengthen your entire body with a special focus on core. Use handbuoys and noodles to sculpt your body while keeping your joints happy in this low-impact format.
Deep Water Walking
Medium intensity in deep water. Non-impact exercises to ease sore joints while building endurance and core strength. A great class for all fitness levels, since you work at your personal best. Buoyancy belts are used.
Deep Water Blast
Set to our rock ‘n ‘roll favorites, this class will tone your heart, muscles, and mind. Burn calories and have fun doing it. Various equipment may be used.
Making Waves
Medium/high intensity in shallow water. A vigorous aerobic workout utilizing all muscle groups. Travel in the water while performing exercises with varied equipment. Increase endurance and core strength and improve balance.
Aqua Zumba
Aqua Zumba® blends the Zumba® philosophy with water resistance, for one pool party you shouldn’t miss! There is less impact on your joints during an Aqua Zumba® class so you can really let loose. Water creates natural resistance, which means every step is more challenging and helps tone your muscles.
Cardio Mix
Medium to high intensity in shallow water. This class works the upper and lower body with an emphasis on power and intensity. Lower-intensity modifications can be made.
Aqua Fit
High intensity in shallow water. This high-energy class involves intervals, sprints and the use of hand buoys.
Tabata Aqua
Highest intensity ever! In cold, deep water. Tabata training hits the pool – with no hard impact on your joints. This class is proven to increase metabolism for 3 hours post-workout and decrease your resting heart rate. Developed for the conditioned adult. Swimming ability not necessary and flotation devices supplied.
