Dance with Energy holds a spring recital performance at the end of the season. Parents can sit back and enjoy the show while the dancers show off what they have learned throughout the year.
By preparing for and performing in the recital, dancers learn about backstage theater etiquette, stage blocking, basic theater terminology and the joy of live performance. Participation in the recital is optional but highly recommended to truly get the most out of our program.
All recreational dancers will perform in 1-2 recitals. All company dancers will perform in 2 to 4 recitals.
Dress rehearsals are held the Thursday and Friday evenings before the recital.
We do our best to keep siblings and dancers who take multiple classes in the same recital, but there may be some circumstances where this is not possible. Siblings and dancers who take multiple classes may have to perform in separate recitals. You will be contacted in early February if this is the case.
Recital location, times and date will be announced as soon as the rental contract is secured.
There is an additional recital and costume fee, which goes directly to making the performance spectacular and helps cover the costs of theater rental, scenery, props, backdrop and backstage technicians.
Recitals are held offsite at a location announced in January.
